This design was inspired by 2024 fellow Munira!
"My design was focused around the idea of reaching for the stars, going beyond the limits that we and others set for ourselves. Growing up in Afghanistan as a girl, education was more of a luxury than a right. Going to school everyday was a challenge. I studied under a UNICEF tent on top of rocks, in the rain and under the burning sun. But no matter the danger or the obstacles that blocked my path, I still showed up everyday, excited to learn. Moving to America for me was being allowed to reach for the stars. I knew that I could do anything and achieve everything, without having to worry for my safety... I selected specific constellations like the telescopium star, octans star, and etc, which represent the different dreams and career paths. The hands represent the determination to create a future without opportunity gaps."
